Ultrasound and 3T MRI Guided Biopsy
This sampling procedure, guided by either ultrasound or MRI, is done on an outpatient basis. It removes five to ten small pieces of tissue from the abnormality and takes about 45 minutes using only local anesthesia and a tiny skin nick. This procedure causes minimal discomfort, little bruising, no stitches and little disfigurement. If cancer is found, a complete removal of the abnormal area may be required.

Our state of the art open 3T MRI is only the second of its kind in the country.
