Imaging Specialists is proud to be the first American College of Radiology accredited open 3T MRI facility in the nation. We are pleased to include digital mammography and CT among our ACR accreditations as well.
We installed the Siemens Verio open 3T MRI in 2008 to provide our patients with the most advanced technology available today. It offers twice the signal and speed of the traditional 1.5 T MRI, delivering unsurpassed image detail and clarity in conjunction with patient comfort.
Our eighteen board certified radiologists are highly trained in neuroradiology, musculoskeletal, women’s imaging, interventional and diagnostic radiology and stay abreast of the latest technology in all specialties. Our staff provides five-star service, same-day appointments, day and evening appointment times, and accurate results within 24 hours of an appointment.
Our 14,500 square foot facility houses comprehensive radiology services including:

• open 3T MRI

Continuing Medical Education
In February 2008, MUSC and Imaging Specialists of Charleston hosted the CME event “Taking Clinical Power to the Extreme: An Overview of Clinical 3T Imaging”.
Keynote speaker at the event, Dr. Val Runge, is a nationally renowned 3T MRI expert and author of the essential textbook on 3T imaging, Clinical 3T Magnetic Resonance.
