Alex Rios, DO

Dr. Rios is a radiologist at Imaging Specialists of Charleston, LLC. He joined the practice in 2026.

Dr. Rios completed his musculoskeletal imaging fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). He fulfilled his diagnostic radiology residency at MUSC, where he served as chief resident from 2024 to 2025, and completed his transitional year at MUSC as well.

Dr. Rios earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and Master of Medical Education from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania. He received his Bachelor of Science from Western New England University in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Dr. Rios has presented research at national and regional radiology meetings, including the Society of Interventional Radiology Annual Meeting, the Society for Thoracic Radiology, and the South Carolina Radiological Society Chapter Annual Meeting, and his work has been published through the American College of Radiology's Case in Point. He is a class representative for the American College of Radiology.
