Blake Johns, MD

Dr. Johns is a breast radiologist at Imaging Specialists of Charleston, LLC. He joined the practice in 2026.

Dr. Johns completed his breast imaging fellowship, serving as an instructor fellow, at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He fulfilled his diagnostic radiology residency at Brookwood Baptist Health in Birmingham, Alabama, and completed his transitional year in general surgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Dr. Johns earned his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Medicine in Jackson. He received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Mississippi in Oxford.

Dr. Johns has extensive training across the full range of breast imaging, including mammography, ultrasonography, diagnostic breast MRI, contrast mammography, and image-guided biopsies and localizations. During his residency, he was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society in recognition of his teaching and the empathy he brought to patient care.
