Clark Phelps, MD
Clark D. Phelps, MD, is a diagnostic and interventional radiologist at Imaging Specialists of Charleston, LLC. He joined the practice in 2025.
Dr. Phelps completed his integrated interventional radiology residency at the Medical University of South Carolina, where he also served as chief resident. During his training, he led multiple research and quality improvement projects, including work on coagulopathy management with thromboelastography and iodine overlay imaging in trauma. He also earned recognition for excellence in medical student teaching. Prior to residency, he completed a general surgery internship at Prisma Health–Upstate in Greenville, SC.
Dr. Phelps earned his Doctor of Medicine from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI, and his Bachelor of Science in biology, magna cum laude, from the College of Charleston.
He holds certification from the American Board of Radiology (ABR Core Exam) and is certified in ACLS and BLS. He is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology and has presented research nationally, including at the Society of Interventional Radiology annual meeting. His scholarly work includes presentations on advanced endovascular interventions and publications in vascular and interventional radiology.
