John McGue, MD
John G. McGue, MD, is a diagnostic radiologist and interventional radiologist at Imaging Specialists of Charleston, LLC. He joined the practice in 2007. He also is part of the medical staff at Trident Medical Center, Summerville Medical Center, and Colleton Medical Center. He has also served as the President of the Medical Staff of Trident Regional Medical Center.
Prior to Imaging Specialists, Dr. McGue was a diagnostic radiologist at LaPorte Radiology in LaPorte, IN.
Dr. McGue completed his vascular and interventional radiology fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina; and his diagnostic radiology residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Dr. McGue earned his Doctor of Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine where he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha and his Bachelor of Science in computer and electrical engineering at Purdue University.
Dr. McGue holds an American Board of Radiology Certification with an added qualification in vascular and interventional radiology, and medical licenses to practice in both South and North Carolinas.
He is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology and the American College of Radiology. He is an accomplished researcher and presenter with work published in the Journal of Investigative Surgery and Surgery.
Dr. McGue enjoys spending time with his wife Tanya and walking their 90-pound mixed-breed dog along Charleston’s serene beaches. However, don’t let this thrill-seeking daredevil fool you; he has five parachute jumps under his belt!
