Matthew Dunn, MD

Matthew Alan Dunn, MD, is a radiologist at Imaging Specialists of Charleston, LLC. He joined the practice in 2013. 

Dr. Dunn completed his interventional radiology fellowship at Yale – New Haven Hospital. He fulfilled his diagnostic radiology residency at Bryn Mawr Hospital in Pennsylvania, where he was Chief Resident and presented the Hayler T. Osborn Unknown Case Award, the ABR Physics Exam Award, and the ACR In-Training Exam Award. Dr. Dunn interned in general surgery at Lankenau Medical Center in Wynnewood, PA. 

Dr. Dunn earned his Doctor of Medicine at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia where he was a founding member of the Jefferson Radiology Society. He received his Bachelor of Science in chemistry from James Madison University. 

Dr. Dunn is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology and the American Medical Association. He holds medical licenses to practice in both South and North Carolinas.

Dr. Dunn wanted to be a second baseman for the Phillies, and despite getting into radiology instead, he still supports Philadelphia sports teams - Phillies and Eagles - and roots for Manchester City. He is a soccer player, hiker, amateur carpenter, and volunteer at Grace City Church. He enjoys spending time with his wife Carey and their three sons, 7-year-old Deacon, 9-year-old Logan, and 11-year-old Clayton, who were all born in different states - South Carolina, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania, respectively. Dr. Dunn is lovingly referred to as Dunnybadger and was born in Bethel, AK.
